Tour Overview

This 7 days tour is the most popular tour package as it helps tourists/travelers to have an experience of a combination of two main national parks in Rwanda, which are Volcanoes National Park and Akagera National Park, the one and only savannah park that is in Rwanda.

Day 1: Pick Up, Kigali City Tour & Transfer to the Hotel

Depends on your landing time at Airport, our English/French speaking staff/driver-guide will come to pick you from airport then drive you for the Kigali city tour where you will get a chance to explore and visit different sites of the city such as kigali genocide Memorial, biggest local market in Kigali called Kimironko, Nyamirambo where Kigali as a capital started, and many more interesting sites for travelers. After that, our driver-guide will choose the best restaurant in the city to have lunch. Then, after enjoying lunch, it will be the drive to your booked hotel and check-in for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Akagera National Park

You will wake up in the morning and have your breakfast. After that, our driver-guide will come to pick you up and then drive you to the Eastern province of Rwanda where Akagera National Park is located. On arrival, you will register from park reception, then continue with check-in at your booked hotel and get lunch. After lunch, the driver-guide will take you for the afternoon game drive to enjoy some animals in the south of the park, like zebras, antelopes, buffaloes, and birds. Then, you'll be driven to the biggest lake in the park called Ihema for attending the best boat trip tour called Sunset, where you will get a chance to see hippos, crocodiles, and many water bird species. Afterwards, you'll drive to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Full-day Game Drive at Akagera National Park

After breakfast from your booked lodge, our drive-guide will come to pick you up then drive you for full-day game drive and from here you will get a chance to see lots of wild animals, including: giraffes, elephants, lions, buffaloes, antelopes of different types, birds, zebras and many more. While you are enjoying the animals, the ourwill show you the best point to have lunch. After lunch, you will continue your visit back to the lodge and check in again for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

You will wake in the morning and then have your late breakfast. You will check out, our driver-guide will come to pick you up and drive you to the northwest province of Rwanda, passing through Kigali and heading to Volcanoes National Park. On arrival in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda, you will stop for lunch. Then, you'll continue the journey all the way to Volcanoes National Park and check into your booked lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Gorillas Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

You will wake up and get your early morning breakfast. Then, with your packed lunch from the lodge, our driver-guide will come to pick you up and then drive you to the park office for registration and briefing about how to behave when you meet gorillas in their natural Habitat. Then, you'll drive to the boundary of Volcanoes National Park, where you will jump in with a local guide to trek gorillas. On arrival in the gorillas' family, you will be given time to observe them and take as many photos as you can. After that special enjoyment, you will come back to the driver-guide, who will drive you back to your booked lodge and then wait for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Golden Monkey Trekking

You will wake up and get your early morning breakfast. Then, with your packed lunch from the lodge, our driver-guide will come to pick you up and drive you to the park office for registration and a briefing about how to behave when you meet golden monkeys in their natural habitat. Later, he will drive you to the boundary of Volcanoes National Park, where you will jump in with a local guide to trek golden monkeys. On arrival in the golden monkeys troop, you will be given time to observe them and take as many photos as you can. After that special enjoyment, you will come back to the driver-guide, who will drive you back to your booked lodge then wait for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7: Drive back to Kigali

You will wake up in the morning and get your breakfast. After that, you will check out. Then our driver-guide will come to pick you up and take you back to the capital of Rwanda, Kigali, where, depending on your flight time, you will be dropped at the airport or your hotel/home.
